Microsoft Access 2007 Installation: If you are a Microsoft Access developer and are about to install Microsoft Office 2007 on a computer that already has an earlier version of Microsoft Access, read these instructions carefully or you may delete your old versions of Access.

Microsoft Access 2016: Install on a University computer

• Permissions are rules associated with files that determine if you can access the file and what you can do with it. To check the permission of the file or folder, follow these steps: Right-click the file or folder, and then select Properties.
• Install MS Access when the Office 365 suite is already installed We recently rolled out Office 365 2016 suite (C2R) using the Office Deployment Tool and SCCM. We excluded Access from the install as most users don't need it and the ones that do needed to update their DB's before we deployed.

Microsoft Access is not installed on University computers by default. If you would like to use the Microsoft Access database program, please submit an Information Technology request.

Once you have received notification that you have been added to the Access group, please use the following instructions to install and launch Microsoft Access (Access 2013 instructions are displayed because Office 2013 is available by default on all classroom and lab computers).

Install Access 2016

1. Click the Windows [Start] button > Click 'Control Panel.'
2. Click 'Programs and Features.'
3. Select 'Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016' from the list.
4. Click [Change].
5. Check the 'Add or Remove Features' box > Click [Continue].
6. Click the 'Microsoft Office Access' drop-down box > Select 'Run all from My Computer.'
7. Click [Continue] > and then [Close].

Launch Access 2016

1. Click [Start] > 'All Programs.'
2. Choose 'Microsoft Office' > 'Microsoft Office Access 2013.' Wait for the one-time configuration to complete.
